While comparing it to the same month the previous year, the weather direction swept in from Russia bringing heavy snowfall and plummeting temperatures.

In April 2018 the UK experienced four days of sweltering heat, moving forward a few months to July the temperature was recorded at 35.3°C making the summer of 2018 the joint hottest on record.
