We aim to create and maintain safe sites by promoting a clear health and safety ethos to all of our employees and supply chain.
We believe effective supervision and communication is a driving factors in maintaining safe sites and BSE FM has committed to ensuring that all of our supervisors hold the Construction Skills Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificates and that all of our engineering team hold the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificates. All other site staff receive core health and safety training supplemented with specialist training as required.
Regular toolbox talks by either site supervisors, contract managers or our in-house Health and Safety Department are delivered to promote and maintain a state of awareness on health, safety and environmental matters and promote an important open dialogue within our team. Working safely is a core value for BSE FM and we pride ourselves on our efforts to work towards an incident and injury-free environment.
To achieve our target, we focus on a range of measures such as training, safety bulletins, site inspections, near-miss reporting and accident/incident investigation. Regular health and safety meetings are also convened within the business in accordance with our own QA procedures that monitor our performance, raise awareness, explore initiatives and review lessons learnt.
